Our peracetic test kit is used to verify the concentration levels of peracetic acid used in the cleaning and sanitation industry. Concentration levels are represented in ppm. Each kit is packaged in a durable plastic case and includes all items to complete approximately 60-75 tests.

Directions
- Rinse viral 3 times with sample to be tested. Ensure proper sample size. Use a level surface and bend down to eye level to verify that you have an accurate sample. Use a white surface to help see the color change.
- Select your sample size: 10 ml / 1 drop = 15 ppm | 30 ml / 1 drop = 5 ppm
- Next step according to instructions card is to add 10 drops of sulfuric acid. It is important to swirl the vial after each drop to ensure proper mixture.
- Add one drop of potassium iodine. It is important to swirl the vial after each drop to ensure proper mixture.
- Add 5 drops starch indicator. Hold to bottle vertically to ensure a proper drop size and remember to swirl the vial for complete mixture. If peracetic acid is present. The sample with turn a blue/black color.
- Next perform the titration. It is important to have the correct titrant and proper sample size for this titration. After each drop, swirl the vial to ensure proper mixture. Count the drops during this step.
- According to the endpoint id procedure, the titration is complete when the sample is changed from a blue black color to clear that persists for 10 seconds.
- Multiply the number of drops by the test factor to obtain the parts per million peracetic acid.
